| Inoculants are produced in electric submerged arc furnaces from quartz or quartzite and calcium carriers, barium and strontium carriers by the reduction of oxides using of carbon from coke and hard coal in the presence of iron. | ||||||||||||||||||

| Inoculants are added for the modification of grey cast iron and ductile cast iron. Inoculant can be added during melting, into a laddle, onto a stream or directly into a mould. | ||||||||||||||||||
| Packaging and transport: | ||||||||||||||||||
| Inoculants can be delivered in bulk, in big-bags or in bags on pallets by road or rail transport. The material must not come into contact with moisture. | ||||||||||||||||||
