Silicon briquettes

Silicon briquettes are produced from ferrosilicon grains sized 0 - 3 mm using 4 - 8% of sodium water-glass as a binding agent. Geometrical shape of the briquette is a cylinder with the base diameter of Φ 50 mm and hight 50 ± 5 mm. Briquette mass amounts to ~ 0,175 kg. Si content ~ 68%.

Application:
Silicon briquettes may be used in the steel industry, foundry mainly with cupolas or with combined processes - cupola and induction heater.
Packaging and transport:
Silicon briquettes can be delivered in big-bags by road or rail transport.
